When They Walk Away
The other day I got an email that my client needed to step away from my program. It wasn't anything that had to do with a bad experience, she just wasn't able to commit to what she felt like she could truly maintain. Between planning a wedding, traveling, graduating, and holding down her 12 hour shift schedule she was pretty stretched thin and 4 days a week just wasn't able to happen. The best she could do was 1-2 days a week. At first I was bummed because as a trainer you want to see people incorporate fitness into their lifestyle. You want them to find their rhythm and then thrive. And I do truly believe it's possible to find a rhythm. But honestly, with my business core values, I refuse to make anyone feel bad in any way for the season of life they are in. I've been in seasons where the best I had were 1-2 days a week as well.
